ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Participate in all phases of Agile methodology (planning, grooming, coding sprint items).
  • The Full Stack Developer participates in the sprint planning meetings to assign the story points and commit to the user stories planned for a given weekly sprint.
  • Performs application enhancements and builds new products in all layers of the application such as UI, Web Server, Application Server, Cloud Host, Database, Reporting, DevOps, and Application Monitoring using JEE, JBoss.
  • Implement code using AWS Native Services and AWS Serverless technologies
  • Engage with architects/product team to comprehend functional challenges, prototype new ideas, and new technologies, and help to create innovative solutions.
  • Design and develop solutions following established frameworks, application development standards and quality processes in projects.
  • Assess the impacts on technical design because of the changes in functional requirements.
  • Will work within a fast-paced Agile DevOps team contributing and collaborating with the scrum team daily.
  • Mentor junior developers, which may include performing code reviews. Suggest tools, technologies, and best practices that improve stability.
  • Participates in the devising of project timelines, implementation design specifications, system flow diagrams, documentation, testing and ongoing support of applications.
  • Translates requirements into technical specifications and diagrams and implement in conformance with architectural and business requirements. Develops and maintains modernized and legacy systems on COTS and Open-Source tech stack using effective principles such as extreme programming (XP) and TDD.
  • Assists with the development and maintenance of operational and system level documentation. Enhances software to reduce operating time or improve efficiency.
  • Troubleshoots and resolves issues in dev, test and production environments as part of Tier 2 support.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:

  • Extensive experience in developing code using AWS Serverless technologies
  • Extensive experience in using AWS container infrastructure to develop and package application
  • Experience with Relational Database Management System (RDBMS), PostgreSQL.
  • Experience with Web Services (SOAP/REST), XML, JSON.
  • Experience working within a Continuous Integration environment using Docker, Kubernetes.
  • Experience working with AWS tools and environments.
  • Experience with Git, GitHub, Bit Bucket versioning systems.
  • A knack for benchmarking and performance optimization.
  • Excellent conceptual and critical thinking capabilities.
  • Self-directed and self-motivated with the ability to take charge or play a supporting role.
  • Clear written and verbal communications skills.
  • Critical thinker and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent knowledge and ability to debug AWS Infrastructure, Services, Configuration, and automation.
  • This individual should have worked with several containerization tools such as, Docker, Kubernetes etc.
  • Ability to Monitor and manage system resources and application performance
  • This individual should have worked with several monitoring tools such as, new relic, Kibana, Elasticsearch, Nagios, Dynatrace etc.
  • This individual should have worked with several building tools such as, Maven, Gradle, ANT, Grunt etc.
  • This individual should have worked with several testing tools such as Soap UI/ready API, Jmeter, Selenium, Cucumber etc.
  • This individual should have worked with several collaboration tools such as, Jira, Slack etc.
  • Ability to independently, quickly, and efficiently identify and solve technical problems.
  • This individual should have supported applications on AWS cloud and should be familiar with AWS services such as, Elastic Load Balancers, S3, Elastic File Share, EC2, VPC etc.
  • Candidates must be able to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance
  • Candidates must have lived in the United States 3 out of the past 5 years

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:

  • AWS certifications
  • CMS Experience
  • Agile certifications

EDUCATION & CERTIFICATIONS:

  • 5+ years of Application Development
  • 2 to 4 years of experience developing code using AWS Serverless Architecture, Native services, and containers.
  • 2 to 3 years of experience with DevOps tools.
  • 2 to 3 years of experience with supporting applications on AWS.
  • Experience working on an Agile Project
  • Experience working in large projects interacting with several teams within the project
  • Bachelors degree in Technical field
